Brake Calipers
GOLDfren brake calipers
All GOLDfren brake calipers are CNC machined from duralumin of the highest quality and restistance. This duralumin is largely used in the aircraft industry. Other parts of the calipers are made of premium steel or titanium. Thanks to titanium our calipers are almost indestructible.
Brake calipers equipped with titanium (pistons)represent our top brake caliper – this product line is called Titanium Line and is dedicated to racers who use brakes constantly. These calipers are indestructible.
The optimized caliper shape allows maximum stability accomplishment even in case of small weight.
All GOLDfren calipers are established to be used only with brake fluid DOT4 – the best option is the Castrol SRF quality!
GOLDfren calipers are available in different colours. Anodisation colours are very stable and permanent. We recommend hard anodizing surface treatment for those racers that use brake extremely.
List of all available brake caliper accessories is here.
1. Radial four-pistons brake caliper GOLDfren MONOBLOCK (P/N 70-03-301)
Radial four-pistons caliper MONOBLOCK was developed for street motorcycles. Racing design is universal. It is suitable for brake discs of diameters 270 – 330 mm and thickness 5 – 6 mm. Pistons diameters are 36 mm and 32 mm, distance between bolts holding caliper on the fork is 108 mm, its weight is 650 g (without bolts and brake pads). GOLDfren caliper is standardly supplied in black and golden colour. Set includes monoblock, spare sealing and brake pads Part no. 301.
When there is bracket used along with MONOBLOCK, it becomes suitable for supermoto as well. In this case, it is possible to use monoblock with brake rotors of diameter 310 and 320 mm.
Advantages of the radial caliper:
- more stable mounting to the wheel fork
- longer service life
- It is possible to combinate sizes of brake discs (in the extent of 20mm +/- according to the used sealing)
There is leftsided and rightsided caliper version.
2. GOLDfren front caliper for off-road use (P/N 70-03-041)
This two-piston brake caliper fits to all japanese motorcycles with standard brackets and with brackets for oversize brake discs. There are specially designed brackets for KTM motorcycles, that allow using front off-road caliper along with brake dics with standard or oversized diameter. This brake caliper is supplied with brake pads P/N 041.
Pistons diameter is 27 mm. Brake pistons can be supplied in stainless steel or in titanium. They minimize heat transfer on the caliper body and brake fluid. Brake caliper cup is made of titanium.
The optimized caliper shape allows maximum stability accomplishment even in case of small weight and prevents caliper from deformation.
3. GOLDfren rear caliper for off-road use (P/N 70-03-187)
Rear one piston duralumin brake caliper is suitable for most new japanese off-road motorcycles. It is possible to use it on Kawasaki and Suzuki motorcycles without any bracket. For Honda and Yamaha, we offer our brackets. There is special bracket for KTM that we have in our offer. This bracket allows using oversize brake discs (with 240 mm in diameter) on KTM which leads to better braking effect.
In this GOLDfren rear caliper fit GOLDfren brake pads P/N 187. Piston diameter is 25,3 mm and caliper weight is 450 g.
Brake pistons can be supplied in stainless steel option or in titanium option. They minimize heat transfer that arises during braking. On the caliper body and brake fluid. Brake caliper cover is made of titanium.
4. Warranty
In case that warranty terms were observed, our calipers are under life guarantee for 200 engine operating hours.
Maintenance service and service must be carried out after 20 hours of operation!
Brake fluid exchange should be done in compliance with brake load. Total usage time shouldn´t exceed 10 moto hours. We strictly recommend using brake fluid DOT4!
In case of claim, maintenance services must be documented and proved!
Entitlement to claim warranty of brake caliper lapses in case of:
- Brake caliper was not used in accordance with instructions of producer and it was operated in different conditions or for other purposes than the brake caliper was determined to.
- Intervention into construction of brake caliper was made without producers permission or damage of the brake caliper was caused by nonprofessional intervention of the user (for. ex.: dismantling the lid, milling adjustment, drilling, …).
- Any part of the brake calliper was replaced by non-authentic part.
- Insufficient maintenance lead to a damage or excessive wear of the brake caliper.
- Defects were caused by incompetent storing or nonprofessional manipulation.
- True number of operating hours, application conditions or the actual state of brake caliper were concealed.
